A 90 minute session for years 5, 6 or 7 which will stretch the imagination and encourage thinking outside the box, all with just pieces of paper!
- We start with some warm up puzzles that involve folding, cutting and moving.
- Things that seem impossible at first are made possible with some abstract thinking.
- The main event will focus around the fascinating properties of Möbius strips and similar twisted loops.
- We investigate the infiniteness of the Möbius strip and see what happens when twisted loops are cut.
- To finish, we stay with the theme of infinity and make a square infinity flipper.
This session is suitable for all abilities and up to 30 children can be catered for. All equipment will be provided.
