A 90 minute session for years 5, 6 or 7 based around the fascinating Fibonacci Sequence.
- We discover the origin of this special sequence by becoming rabbits!
- We investigate the mathematical patterns and properties in the sequence.
- Then we explore where the sequence can be found in the natural world.
- We construct the Fibonacci spiral and find that this also appears in unexpected places.
- Finally, we play with more sequences by creating Pascal's triangle and discovering that the Fibonacci Sequence is hidden within its depths.
This session is suitable for all abilities and up to 30 children can be catered for. All equipment will be provided.
